Our Independent Domestic Violence Advisors, (IDVA) attend the specialist domestic violence court each week and as a result we are able to support women through the legal process, providing them with information on decisions around issues such as bail conditions and charges. With an IDVA in place, the safety of women and children is increased and we are able to help them feel more confident in the Criminal Justice system.
Our multi-agency initiatives within the Chase Division of Staffordshire Police continues with the new Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs) where we are able to advocate on behalf of women and children who are at very high risk due to domestic violence.
