Our children’s service believe that if children are empowered through accurate advice, fun and inclusion, they maybe less likely to be abusive or accept abusive relationships. Within all group or individual sessions children are encouraged to give their opinions, be active in discussion and display an understanding of the subjects covered.
One to one support can be offered for children experiencing problems with emotional or behavioural issues.
ACTION (Accepting Children’s Thoughts, including Others Needs) is a six part education project generally delivered to Year 7 school children, and encourages the development of healthy non abusive relationships. It can also include delivering relationship workshops to older children. Its underlying aim is to prevent domestic violence and reach young people who may need support.
